I was a kite enthusiast from a young age through the late eighties. I think I got my first puffer kite in the early seventies and as a little kid they were disappointing because they never lasted more than one flight or so. I think this particular sub ten year old had a difficult time navigating the balance between full and popped when inflating. But after ten, it was a favorite because it would fly in any conditions. I was just searching to buy a couple for my nephews because I remember kite flying, at their ages, 4 and 7, featuring a lot of work and frequently ending in disappointment except for puffer kites and the Chinese paper kites that were basically long tails and definitely only good for one flight. Anyway, I never saw a Puffer kite except in the red/yellow/black stripes and in a single size. I agree with the person who said that they could be made in a different fabric, (mylar maybe?) and sell like hot cakes.
