We used to get chips that came in a box, they were called Jean's. They had regular plain chips which came in a blue and white box and crinkle cut (which were the best) came in a red and white box. I'm from near Buffalo, NY and they may have been only sold in this area. I haven't seen them since the 80's but for being plain chips they were sure were good.
