Growing up in San Antonio, TX during the late 60's and 70's, I remember buying Pomac from the neighborhood tiendita in Culebra Park called "Julio's". We kids thought it tasted like beer and would collect and cash-in discarded bottles to get up enough change to purchase a bottle of Pomac. It was considered a "grown-up" soda in my Bible Belt community and buying it was frowned upon. What an era!
