my first platforms were in 6th grade and they had macrame design flowers on the side- i remember my aunts whispering to each other about them when i proudly showed them off-i think they thought my mother was terrible for letting me ware such shoes. a couple of yrs later my brother got some(no macrame flowers for him though) and he looked like a pimp.
