Remember these sandwiches myself and been searching to find them. After reading multiple blogs... I seem to think that the ones I remembered came 2 to a box, were about 12 inches long, and came in foil packaging... since the average household didn't have microwave like we do today. You'd pop them in the oven for about 15-20 minutes which would thaw/toast the bread, heat the meats, and melt the cheese. Made with salami, ham, bologna and cheese In my memory, they probably taste better than if I found them today. See many people talk about LANDSHIRE Chuck Wagon Sandwiches... same ingredients, most likely only 6-in long sandwiches these days. Kind of interested in giving them a try to see how they compare. Ours came from a defunct chain called VENTURES. Sure that the product name include "poor boy" in it... not sure of the brand thou.
