Peter Paul introduced No Jelly bars in 1972. Name was changed to Peanut Butter Bar in 1977, and discontinued in 1979 due to poor sales. Like so many candy makers, Peter Paul blew most of its advertising/promotional budget on its flagship bars, Mounds and Almond Joy. Peter Paul Kamidjian founded the company in 1919., introducing Mounds shortly after. Almond Joy was introduced in 1946. For all you go-go rock 'n' rollers out there, found an Almond Joy TV commercial, aired on "Shindig" over ABC (10/30/65). A Halloween show where Boris Karloff makes host Jimmy O'Neill "disappear." Ted Cassidy of "Addams Family" is another guest. He appears both as Lurch, and without his makeup.
