Comments left:	While nothing new has emerged on Nice Mice in two years, I did uncover lots more on its maker. Howard B. Stark Candy Co. started in Milwaukee's Third Ward around 1910. Two featured products were Starks, a roll chocolate candy. Most notably, Snirkle, a caramel swirl bar. Stark moved to a new plant in Pewaukee around 1940. Nice Mice and Cinnamon Teddy Bears were boxed, both created around 1964. By the mid 1970s, Stark had severe financial trouble, and a high-rolling California firm bailed it out. Nice Mice may have been cut after this. I found images of a Cinnamon Teddy Bear box, with bar code (c. 1978), and a plastic wrapper, looked early 1980s. The San Mateo bailout enabled Stark to distribute nationally.
