When growing up, we called these cookies "finger cookies" because we'd put one finger through thr hole in them & stack a "finger-full"as a snack after swimming. They were inexpensive, & also there was a chocolate chip version. They are a tradition at my mom's house. To this day small kids will ask for the "finger cookies". A local AG store carries the Murray brand of the butter flavor, at almost $4 for a pack of about 11 oz.
