Thanks for jogging my memory. I *LOVED* these when I was a kid. You could stick your pinky finger through the hole and eat them petal by petal. My friend, brother, and I used to put on little puppet shows with Pelham marionettes when we were kids, and invite the neighborhood to watch and my Mom (she was a saint!) would not only put up with this, but she would serve all of us these cookies and apple juice. I think the kids must have come more for the food than for the plays. We wrote the scripts ourselves, and since the only marionettes we had were a Gypsy, a Soldier, a Pony, and a Duck the plots were surreal. Definitely more Ionesco than Shakespeare! Thanks again for letting us all know what happened to these great treats!
