Knickerbocker jellies were originally 2 cents in the early 60's when they started wrapping them the price went to 3 cents. My grandfather had the company's local trucking contract. We always had a box in the fridge. In the mid to late 60's they started making them in flat retangular bars. I don't remember when but Knickerbocker sold the receipe for them to Joyva which changed the shape to rings that are still sold today. Joyva is in the bushwick section of Brooklyn, n.y.
