After reading about all troubles finding mapleine I thought it would be hard to find. I went to Safeway grocery store and there it was on the shelf blue and white box Cresent not McCormick, the McC product just said immitation maple flavoring. The Cresent box still has that recipe for syrup 1C boiling water over 2C sugar add 1/2tsp Mapleine stir makes 2 1/4 cups
