From the Saturday morning cartoon vault, The Monkees (with Mike Nesmith) present an offer on getting a free Nerf Ball by mail. You needed ten wrapper tops from plain Kool Aid, or 20 from Pre-Sweetened Kool Aid. This aired on "Archie Comedy Hour" over CBS (3/14/70). In this transitional commercial, General Foods paid Nesmith (officially out of The Monkees) to appear in a few commercials, as GF's license with Warner Bros. to use Bugs Bunny had ended. The new ban on 30-minute commercials prohibited CBS from airing these during telecast of "Monkee" reruns. Jones and Dolenz disbanded by mid 1970.
