IN THE MID SIXTIES I BOUGHT MY FIRST JOHN ROMAINE BAG FOR $22.00. Hid it behind the door so my husband wouldn't know I had bought still another bag and that was a lot for a purse then. I loved that bag and remember to this day how I felt carrying it. Since the first bag I bought 2 more, one being his straw trimmed with leather for summer. I wish he would bring more bags back as I don't have any of them now and I still love the look and memory of a John Romaine bag
