I had no idea what my beautiful leather and tweed bag was. But today I was in a store shopping handbags when a woman stopped me and asked if that was a John Romain. I was confused. "You mean the Donna Karan I just put back?" "No! The one on your arm!" I looked inside and sure enough! My $5 vintage store find is indeed a John Romain. With a dreamy look in her eyes, she told me how she remembered spending more than she has ever spent on a handbag on one in college. That prompted me to find out more, and I am delighted. I love this bag, but I had no idea how beloved it was by others.
