I lived in Georgia in the mid 60s and when in junior high everyone had to have a John Romaine purse. I saved up babysitting money for months to be able to afford one. When I began high school in 1969, everyone had to have an Aigner purse. Same deal, saved my money to get one, my parents refused to buy them. Then I moved to South Carolina in 1970 to finish out high school. They didn't seem to have the same standards for purses there so mine kind of fell by the wayside. Would definitely buy them again if they were still sold anywhere!
