From the daytime TV vault, a Jiffy Pop commercial with teens (possibly "Bandstand" regulars) cooking it on an open campfire outdoors, with Dick Clark reading promo script. This aired on one of the last "American Bandstand" Philadelphia shows over ABC (1/11/64). Soon, the show would be produced at ABC's new facility in Los Angeles, where Clark also hosted a quiz show titled, "The Object Is." Other "Bandstand" commercials included Certs, Gillette shavers, and Dr. Pepper with ex-Mouseketeer Donna Loren and Harmon, a cartoon caveman created by Johnny Hart of the B.C. comic strip.
