I absolutely most positively wore these in high school in Texas in the late 70's! Maybe we were just ahead of the fashion world from the rest of you who didn't get them until the 80s but I sincerely doubt it lol. I remember my feet sweating like crazy in them in the Houston humidity and heat and wearing them to the beach in Galveston was NEVER a good idea and yes we had them both in the Mary Jane sandal type style AND the slip on ballet flat type style. I can't believe they are still around and my kids wore them when they were little even. Strange how fashion just circles around.....
