Comments left:	I had the exact shoes pictured in both the clear color and in brown--"root beer" it was called. That was in 1981 -- so these shoes date back that early, at least. I also darned near killed myself because of those shoes! I very stupidly wore my "root beer" ones when going out fishing with my Dad one day. As anyone who's worn them knows--they have no tread or traction on them at all. At the end of the day my Dad was getting our boat up on the trailer, it was misting rain--and I decided to walk up on the dock just to take a look around. Next thing I knew, I slipped off the dock, fell 5 feet onto the concrete landing, and came within inches of smashing my head against someone's boat trailer hitch. I single handedly almost gave 6 or 7 middle-aged men standing around (including my father) heart-attacks. As it was--I was a little cut & bruised, but with no serious damage.
