Found a TV commercial for the Hot Wheels Super Charger Grand Prix Race Set. This was a precursor to the Sizzlers line. You had to spend a small fortune on batteries if you insisted on running 100 lap or more races. If you had enough track pieces, you could build really cool courses. Commercial aired on the "Cattanooga Cats" cartoon show(9/20/69, ABC). The commercial also was linked to ABC television's "Super Saturday" club, in which members mailed in discount coupons when prompted, to get certain Mattel toys for roughly ten percent off retail, during the 1969-70 season.
