Had several pairs. Still have one pair that say "Ski Bum" on the beach right pocket. I was wearing my original "single star" design pair in shop class and got carburetor cleaner splashed on them. Which mate several little holes in them. My mom traced the star, cut see Some from an old pair of jeans and sewed them over each with that same gold colored thread; the next time I wore them, everyone's wanted to know where I got them; they all wanted a pair. Also, we didn't call those bell bottoms because they didn't flair a lot at the mid-shin or just above the ankle; they were pretty wide from mid thigh all the way down, so we called that style "elephant leg" jeans.
