I loved these cookies! Aside from tasting amazingly delicious, they made me happy. Family life was not good for me in the 70s, but I would look at the box and know that things were ok somehow; that there was life that was good outside my family. The feeling of hope was overwhelming, I still recall it. At one point Happy Niks had an offer: send in $2 and a proof of purchase for a frisbee. Ten year old me sent in the allowance I’d saved and waited for the frisbee. Sadly the offer ran out or the company closed and my money (cash!) was returned to me. Lol- what a bummer. Still, these cookies were awesome and I like to imagine they’ll be back one day. Super fun reading the comments here and hearing peoples’ memories. (PS- life is good) :)
