Oh, Yes! There are comments from people wishing they could find the original recipe. I happen to know it. Dad regularly bragged that it was simply, just corn oil and salt. No preservatives or any other flavors. He used to make us potato chip sandwiches for lunch sometimes by heating corn oil in a big pot and dropping in ultra thick slices of potatoes. He salted them and put them on bread. The four of us kids loved them. Today, I would use some interesting bread like rye, cinnamon swirl or any gourmet bread.
