I graduated in 1980 and never spent the money on a Gunne Sax dress, although I do remember that my junior year I found a Gunne Sax pattern & their sanctioned fabic and made my own prom dress. It was baby blue with a lattice print and lavendar flowers, I believe, and I loved that dress. A few years ago I bought a vintage Gunne Sax c. 1978 prairie dress in perfect condition. My husband has a powder blue tux of the same era with fabulous white plastic shoes. We're wearing both for Halloween tomorrow. I've bought some mums & daises so that I can make a boutonniere for him and a wrist corsage for me. Should be fun.
