I can still remember grocery shopping with my Mom at Publix in south Florida. They were the last store in our area to quit carrying them. Half way down the first aisle on the far right, top shelf! When they stopped selling Great Shakes, we used PDQ beads with milk in our shaker. Not as good as Great Shakes, but better than "stirred" mixes LOL.
