On the antique front, found a newspaper ad for a local product that was a Great Shakes competitor. The product was Two Shakes by Milwaukee-based Hawthorn Mellody. Flavored chocolate and vanilla, this was sold in 32oz. milk cartons> Chill, then shake the carton twice to get the Great Shakes equal. "One Sip, You'll Flip" was the slogan. This was in the June 5th, 1968 edition of the Racine Journal-Times. Whomever owned these newspapers must've been a real Kennedy family fan. In the grab bag I bought, there were papers from several days surrounding the killing of Senator Robert Kennedy. Papers are cream colored, but in decent shape and readable. The price was 39c for a quart of Two Shakes.
