Quaker City Candy Co. did little advertising prior to 1955. The box design by Mr. Koons (the big circle) went back at least that far. Quaker City was frugal with print media, but began advertising on TV during the period. Occasionally, trade magazines ran Good and Plenty promo ads aimed at retailers or wholesale people.
