I was born in Waukegan and my whole family is from Waukegan, but it took a buddy of mine and his family in Riverwoods to introduce me to Glen Rock pop when I was in high school in Deerfield. I worked a constrcution job at Johns Manville and used to stop twice a week to pick up a case from the bottler on Glen Rock Ave. I would drink 2 or 3 of those 7oz. bottles on the drive home. Its crazy that vintage soda pop bottles are making a resurgence. My girlfriend's 9-yr-old son collects soda bottles and is always looking for new ones he's never tried. I would buy the rights to Glen Rock pop today because Nehi, Stewarts, and Green River are flying off the shelves. I was in Eagle River, WI this past weekend and there is a whole store devoted to vintage pop. This is going to be the next big fad like cigars, microbrews, teas, and wine.
