Original giant sweetarts came in two-packs, red and purple, flat on one side...rounded on the other, packed back to back, flat sides together...late sixties-early seventies. Those were the best...lasted for days...lick, scrape with teeth,,sometimes dipped in water. Later in the seventies they came out with three-packs...blue, red and yellow...packed in a row (like the chewy one now)...concave on both sides. not as good as the originals but still, better than nothing. Every time I see the chewy three-packs and see "giant" I feel a fleeting moment of hope...then read the word "chewy" and turn away, spatting in disgust and betrayal.
