I can't believe that I found a page full of people searching for my all time favorite bubble gum! I too have been searching hi and low for it. I used to buy it at the penny candy store in the late seventy's in eastern Pa. and the south jersey shore. It had a very unique fruity taste that I have never come across anywhere else. It's sad to see so many unique products disappearing and being replaced with corporate conformity. I recently heard that Russel Stover candies was bought up by some corporate giant. I imagine the recipes will be replaced with hydogenated oils and corn sugar to compliment the dominating corporate blandness that infects our country these days. Thanks for the tip about Bub-O gum, I will search around and see if I can find it somewhere. I always thought it would be cool to start a company that replicates the great products that have gone the way of the dinosaur. Imagine 67 barricuda's built with big V-8's and simplicity side by side with teaberry gum and russel stover coconut creme eggs the size of a baseball and Hoho's made with real milk-sugar and butter! Not to mention tools and appliances that lasted 30-40 years with nothing to show for the years of use but a couple of dings and scratches! Might not be great for the health but it certainly would taste better and be more fun!
