Okay people - I actually found a cookie similar to the chocolate Fudgetown cookies. Fudegtowns were my absolute favorite. I used to beg my mother for them at the Acme and Pathmark on Elmira Ave in Elizabeth. I had no idea that Fudgetowns were actually made in Elizabeth NJ! Anyway... I was at Ikea recently (hmmm also in beautiful Elizabeth by chance) and got these cookies that reminded me so much of Fudgetowns. They were chocolate cookies with chocolate icing (of course) - but something was so similar. Since I got them a few months ago I have just seen them with vanilla cookies :( On the Ikea site the vanilla ones are called Kakor Choklad. Just thought I'd let me fellow Fudgetowners know about this.
