These were my first pair of sandals (I can remember). I was with Mom at the drug store, and she was trying them on, so I tried on a pair too. They were blue. She asked me if I wanted them and bought them for me. Unusual for a young boy in the 70's, I was in the 5th grade. I wore them to school and had a lot remarks and comments for a few days, but loved them. I don't remember having any trouble adjusting to them, hurting myself or such. I do remember how they made a lot of noise once the rubber wore down !!
