I have just bought an original 70's pair of mens' brown leather flat Scholls off eBay, to go with my flat wooden Pescuras, which I have in black leather, and brown and denim fabric, plus the rare painted sole brown leather ones. The toe bump seems much more pronounced than on the recent ones, and they make a louder slapping sound than the wooden ones when walking! They're great to walk around town in, and look especially good with my flared Levis 516s. (Although when I had to walk behind a car today, the girl driving deliberately revved up and whooshed her exhaust fumes out all over them!)
