@John P. Your comment brought back a memory when a co-worker of mine, who regularly wore her Dr. Scholls around the office, came into work during a snowstorm wearing them. When she complained that her feet were cold, I took off my boots (we wore the same size) so that she could warm up. I slipped on her sandals and found them very comfortable to walk in. That weekend I purchased my own pair and have been wearing them ever since.
