From Issue #5 (7/77) of "Welcome Back, Kotter" comics by DC, a variant ad (some Ding Dongs, others Cup Cakes). Batman and Robin help the government by stopping Pigeon Woman from using her enormous flock of pigeons to steal statues, including Liberty and Mt. Rushmore. Dynamic Duo uses Hostess Cup Cakes to dispel the birds. In the main comic story, Woodman uses budget cuts as excuse to end the high school's Remedial Acedemics Program, thus would kick out the Sweat Hogs and land Kotter on the unemployment line. To raise money to save the program, the group enters a Shakespearean play contest. Kotter selects "Julius Caesar," and directs while fighting a cold. Julie takes over when Gabe loses his voice. Pandemonium ensues during rehearsals and the actual performance. Though the Sweat Hogs didn't win, Woodman gives the program another chance, seeing that the guys are committed to staying in school.
