From the Saturday morning cartoon vault: TV commercial offering the Linus (non-talking) stuffed toy thru mail-in from Post. Toy was of rag-doll quality. A dollar and two box tops got you the toy, a Mattel product. This aired on the "Linus" cartoon show over CBS (1/8/66). Also, commercial by Mattel for the Linus talking pull-string doll and talking hand puppet. Each said the same 11 phrases, per Sheldon Leonard. This aired on "Tom & Jerry" over CBS (1/15/66).
