My brother & I also had a very cool red & green/off white plaid CPO jackets that my father purchased At E J Korvettes department store in Elmhurst,IL during the late 1960's early 70's. It was a great Fall season jacket.We could rake leaves or play football wearing it.You never felt cold wearing it.All the young boys in my class in grade school were jealous of it.Like most of the other posts stated.the wool of the CPO jacket was very itchy especially around the collar. Too bad they are another relic from the past.
