i had on of those! it looked like a little suitcase.when open the turntable was on the bottom and you put the record on that.the top section had the arm w/the record needle firmly attached to just the right spot to start a 45 record.when you turned it on then closed the lid the two met at exactley the right spot for the needle to be placed-thus avoiding a skip or screach-and the glorious music of the 70's began.this was made obviously for children-i loved mind and still consider any system were you dont have to close the top to get it to work to be an excellent sound system .
