I am also searching for Clem! I've posted comments on dirtybutter.com and now have found this site. From the comments on dirtybutter I found out that Clem Clyde and Clara may have been prize giveaways at fairs and carnivals, however, I remember that Clem came from a Jewel Tea catalog sometime in the late 1970's.
