I had these in 1978-79. The balls were acrylic with the long plastic handle at the top(not the stainless loop). Me and my friends all had one and our school eventually banned us from bringing them, but they were a blast! My forearms were always bruised but I got to the point were I could bang them for 40-60 seconds straight. They did chip and I think my pops made my 5th or 6th set disappear...but then I got a BB gun so didnt care....lol
