Quaker Oats made a variant of Cinnamon Toothpicks (to pick oatmeal from your teeth?) around 1969-70. In a TV commercial, the bubblegum tune "Cinnamon...Let Me In..." was used. The song, by a studio group, Derek (Johnny Cymbal), narrowly missed Top Ten status as 1969 began. Cymbal and two women with wild voices sung it for Bang Records. A talented songwriter and performer, Cymbal died from a coronary in 1993 (at 48). Another brand of cinnamon toothpick was Harmon's from Omaha, Nebraska.
