First time I ever bought Chum Gum was 1959 at Szegedi's Candy Store near Birmingham Terrace. The flavor lasted ALL DAY. I still remember the royal blue wrapper with a kid's silhouette on it blowing a big bubble...and the gum itself was the pinkest of pink...and you got TWO sticks for a penny. Wow! And who can forget that great flavor? I used to earn my Chum Gum reward, however. I'd put some baseball cards in my spokes...then I'd "motor on over" to get my fix. There was nothing like the late 50's to early 60's. Life back then was beautiful. Unlike the howling mess we call the 21st Century. Stay United Chum Gum Lovers!
