MY PEOPLE......I am 42 and I just saw the ad on TV for the Hershey’s Air Delight Bar and again I instantly thought about my/OUR favorite candy bar of all time. The Choco Lite Bar....Nothing touches it...perhaps 3 musketeers and the Marathon Bar are close seconds. Miss the Marathon bar too....But the chocolate liquor mixed in with the honey.....MMMMMMMMM MMMMMM Good. I wonder if it is so good in my mind because I can no longer have it or it was just that good. I remember when my Mom would go food shopping.....I was in...meaning… I was going with her to get one of two things....Big Wheels (which I miss and are not the same as ding dongs or King Dons) or a CHOCO' Lite bar. They need to stop with the PC BS of today and Bring back Chief Big Wheel and Nestles needs to get off their duff and make the Choco' lite bar. It would rule the sales market. First you would open that Brown Choco’ lite wrapper and then you would peel down the yellow cellophane and that first bite of that powerful but airy chocolaty goodness. God what Memories. Remember the early 70's as a kid in the supermarkets it was like a field trip. Yeah sometimes you wanted to just go home or at least get out of the freezer aisle but most of the time you could talk/whine your way into some awesome snack or toy inside a cereal box. I mean Quisp and Quake, Kaboom, Dig Em sugar smacks. Choco Crispies with Trumpety the Elephant (Original) Funny Face Goofy grape Mix Drink...Lucky charms with just 4 types of Marshmallows(pink hearts…yellow moons…orange stars and …………GREEN CLOVERS!!!), Apple jacks were just orange…. was the best of times. Oh and lets us not forget get Shang hai-ing some Brach’s candies as you would pass the Brach’s display. Brach’s Caramel with orange inside was my fav...Sorry mom stole quite a few of those.... Yeah kids have it all today because nostalgia/Retro are so in. But they don’t really... we had the big wheels with Trans Fats(MMMMM) and the Dunkin Donuts that were hand made on the premises and also made with Trans Fats...Even Dunkin Donuts are not the same. We had the sugar filled drinks that were filled w/ fructose corn syrup and Sugar. Might have been awful for us.....But it tasted so good. Wow rambled on a bit there...I could go on but mostly lets lambaste Nestlé’s head of Confections & Snacks who would happen to be (patricia.bowles@us.nestle.com). We want the Choco’ Lite Bar back in action...Bring back the Choco' Lite Bar darn it!!!!! If anyone actually reads my post please send an email to Patricia with a kind request to make this happen. Now would be a perfect time for Nestles to go up against Hershey’s in the duel of airy Chocolate bars. I have tried every version of someone else’s copy of the Choco’ lite bar and none compare...Aero bar, Wisp, Not even close. Please send an email to Patricia....I obtained her email address right from the Nestle USA website so it is a publicly made address.....Lets gets this Campaign Started. CHOCO’ Lite...Choco’ Lite...CHOCO ‘Lite! Again send an email to: patricia.bowles@us.nestle.com
