I have the fondest memories of Cocoa Marsh syrup and still miss it dearly. There is, and was, no question in my mind that C.M. was superior in flavor to Bosco and Hershey's Syrup, and the Lion ensconced jar was a bonus. I concur with Rob, that U-Bet comes closest to the C.M. flavor, but it is not equivalent to the richness and mouthfeel of days passed. Is there a way to find the original C.M. formula and convince some foodie-entrepreneur to reissue it today? And, on a tangent, I hope some of you remember when Yoo Hoo really was a tasty drink. Before the chemical engineers got their hands on it, Y.H. was an awesome beverage. I will close my groaning by saying that Dairy Queen's corporate chiefs really need to rethink how they have raped that product. When it was made from real dairy it was delicious. These days, and for many years, DQ soft serve tastes as though it was a by-product of some failed General Electric polymer experiments. Bring back the original Cocoa Marsh!
