Chip Away was made by Kenner, starting in 1972. At first, there were three sets of "to-sculpture figures. The animal set consisted of a dog, cat and horse. The other two sets were of young male athletes. One set included: Hockey player, bowler, and swimmer. The other set had: Baseball, basketball and football player. Other figure sets were added until Kenner discontinued Chip Away in 1977. Along with chisel, mallet and clamp, three vials of color paint and brush were included. My source for this info comes from an ad in copy of "Funky Phantom" comic book #4, Dec., 1972.
