A lot of nostalgia in this thread. In Omaha the two restaurants we frequented were Todd's Drive-In on about 78th and Dodge and Kings on 72nd and Cass when that actually was the West end of town, circa 1963. Kings for the food and Todd's for showing off your car in the endless parade that circled through the parking lot (think American Graffiti). I have bragged about the onion rings at Kings for years to my kids. Thanks for the recipes, it's time to break out the deep fryer.
