We had King's Food Host in Bismarck ND! I worked there, (after it changed to the Woodhouse)never made the ham/cheese or cheese frenchies, but LOVE them. I'm pretty sure they still have them. Fresh hamburger for burgers, and homemade onion rings, made fresh daily. the BEST. The last time I was back home, you still ordered from the phone at the table!!
