I visited my grandparents in Lincoln NE throughout the 60s and 70s and loved Frenchies. Was back in Lincoln just last weekend (10/10/09) and my sister & I went to Amigos/Kings for a Frenchie. It was just awful. The crust was bad, it all tasted like burrito and not Frenchie. So, I'd love to try and make one at home. Never thought of the french dressing. I'm actually willing to get out the old deep fryer if I thought I could do it correctly. I thought the old frenchies used corn flakes as a breading - any old Kings folks out there who have the scoop?
