I remember a Charles Chips vendor coming to the office where I worked and pretty much everyone including myself buying a tin or two or more. There were additional savings if we bought multiples. If he didn’t have the item he would take an order and bring it in during the next visit. I remember the pricing was about $8+ depending what on we bought. This was in Los Angeles, California in th 1980s-early 1990s. My favorites were the Salt n’ Vinegar Chips, Cheeseballs, and Caramel Popcorn.
