I grew up eating Camp Steaks. My mother, 2 brothers, lots of cousins, and aunts worked for Camp Steaks starting in 1952. Every friday my brother would bring a variety of boxes of Camp Steaks home. They were really good cooked with the butter and placed on bread. I was told that when Rayford Camp passed his son took over but got into drugs. I remember Walter who was the boss and Margarite. I don't remember if she was Rayford's wife or Walter's wife. Anyway I have a long, long, long history with Camp steaks. Some of my relatives retired from Camp Steaks. I am trying to understand if the plant is closed down are these steaks being talked about is the real thing?
