I agree, the canned stuff of today doesn't compare to the boxed mixes of the 70's and 80's, but I am surprised that no one has mentioned Jiffy's Caramel icing in a box, that was my family's favorite, my Mom would use it frequently on chocolate cake and the combination with a glass of ice cold milk was indescribable, yum. I have looked everywhere and Jiffy only makes the white or fudge icing in a box now, sad. Cannot have that treat again. My Mom also fixed homemade fluffy white icing for all of our birthday cakes, traditions lost, :+(
